Brownwood News –  Daniel J. Stewart, MD, Obstetrics and Gynecology physician at Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC) was recently chosen as the Physician of the 3rd Quarter 2017 by the staff of BRMC. He was nominated and voted on by the staff for his dedication and quality care provided to his patients and for showing support to all staff members.

 

 

Dr. Stewart opened Brownwood Women’s Clinic in July 2007 as a solo practice and recently built a new office building allowing the addition of another Obstetric/Gynecologist, Yasmin Wilkinson, MD. The office is located at 98 South Park Drive.  When asked why he chose Obstetrics Gynecology, Stewart stated, “I chose to become an Obstetric Gynecology physician because it offered great diversity in patient care, and a true opportunity to make a huge benevolent impact on many lives.”

He has been a member of the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Active Medical Staff since 2007.  He completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University and completed his Graduate degree and Residency at University of Texas Health Science Center Houston.  He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He moved to Brownwood shortly after completing his residency and purchased a ranch. In his spare time he enjoys all outdoor activities with a special interest in hunting.

Dr. Stewart has held leadership positions for the BRMC Medical Staff including Chief of Staff, Vice Chief of Staff, and Chief of Surgery.
