The Building Trades class at Brownwood High School has been utilizing their skills to help their fellow instrument-wielding classmates.

“The BHS Band would like to thank the BHS Building Trades classes for their assistance this fall,” said David Lambert, Band Director at Brownwood High School.  “Mr. Smith, Mr. Flood and their students fixed several percussion carts and color guard props for the band over the last several weeks and are still willing to help whenever needed.”

Lambert noted, “Several of our percussion carts were in need of repair. Mr. Smith and Mr. Flood were more than willing to help us. Their help saved the band a lot of time and money.”

Assistant director and color guard sponsor, Lesley Lambert said, “We were given some color guard props from another school, but when we picked them up we discovered that they were in terrible condition.  Mr. Smith and Mr. Flood didn’t hesitate to offer their assistance when we told them what we needed. They were so helpful!”

Lambert went on to say, “It is so nice to work with people who are willing to use their talents to help the band. This is another reason why I am so glad to be a Brownwood Lion!”
