BFDlogoSmallReports released for the week of March 6th through March 12th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 18 medical emergencies, 2 motor vehicle accidents, 4 fire calls, 3 lock outs and 1 extrication.

Sunday, March 6

*4:53pm – BFD was dispatched to extricate a victim in the 1500 block of Fisk Ave.  Firefighters arrived to find victim stuck in a boom lift.  Firefighter assisted the victim out of the bucket and down the ladder.

Monday, March 7

*1:14pm – BFD was called to a lock out in the 300 block of Clement St. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle locked with a small child inside. Firefighters used tool to unlock door.

Tuesday, March 8

*11:41pm – BFD was dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 2400 block of Coggin Avenue.  Fire crews responded to a car/grass fire. When BFD arrived, the car was fully involved.  Firefighters extinguished car and grass fire.

Thursday, March 10

*8:25am – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident on FM 585.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find vehicle on its roof with driver still in vehicle. Driver was removed and loaded into Guardian.

*5:56pm – BFD was called to a brush fire in the 1000 block of Schroeder.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find leaves burning near pit.  They extinguished fire and cleared the scene.

*7:22pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the area of Austin/Main involving a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.  Firefighters provided first aid and loaded patient into the ambulance.

*1:43pm – BFD was called to a fire in the 1500 block of Stewart Street. Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire.  Upon arrival fire was determined to be wood chips smoldering in playground area.  The Fire Marshal was notified.

*2:47pm – BFD responded to a fire call at 1 Center Ave.  The fire alarm was activated by painters spray painting in the area.  Firefighters reset the alarm.

*5:38pm – BFD was dispatched to a lock out in the 400 block of W. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a child locked in a vehicle. They unlocked door and cleared the scene.

*11:38pm – BFD was called to a lock out in the 400 block of W. Commerce.  Firefighters responded to a call of a subject being locked inside a gun safe at Wal-Mart. Upon arrival, employees had unlocked the safe and the subject was out of the safe.

Friday, March 11

*1:01pm – BFD responded to a brush fire in the 1000 block of Schroeder.   Firefighters arrived on scene to leaves burning near pit.
