Brownwood News – The following calls for service were responded to by Brownwood Police and Brown County Sheriff officers.
BROWNWOOD POLICE BLOTTER
On Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at approximately 06:40 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood business in the 400 block of West Commerce in reference to Criminal Trespass. An arrest was made for this incident.
On 11-6-19 at approximately 11:06 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Austin Ave in reference to a suspicious call. A credit card skimmer was located in one of the fuel pumps at the business. A report was generated.
On Wednesday, November 06, 2019, at approximately 12:52 hours, Officer Donahoo and FTO Baker were dispatched to a north Brownwood business in the 2500 block of Belle Plain in regard to a stolen vehicle. An investigation and report were completed.
On Wednesday, November 06, 2019, at approximately 14:38 hours, Officer Donahoo took a report for a stolen wallet via telephone.
BROWN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT
On November 1, at about 08:51 hours, Deputy Langley arrived at the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center. This was in regards to a hit and run. Deputy Langley spoke to a woman who stated someone had hit her parked vehicle while she was at work at Superior Cable.
On November 3, at about 10:36 hours, Deputy Langley arrived at County Road 278 in Zephyr. This was in regards to criminal mischief. Deputy Langley spoke to a woman who stated someone had broken out the back window of her vehicle.
On Sunday, November 3, at about 16:53 hours, Deputy Simpson responded to County Road 282. This was in regards to an assault which had already occurred. Upon arriving, Deputy Simpson located a man by the county road. He advised that a woman had beaten him with pots and pans. He also stated the woman had pinned him against the kitchen counter with a buck knife. The woman confirmed she hit the man with the pots and pans but denied the part about the knife. According to the deputy’s report, the man suffered multiple injuries while the woman had no visible injuries. While placing the woman in custody, Deputy Simpson discovered the buck knife was located where the woman was seated. She was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff on charges of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and Terroristic Threat.
On November 3, deputies were dispatched to an address on FM 3254. This was in regards to trespassing. The subject in question had already left the scene before deputies arrived. Deputies were advised of a cut gate chain and missing keys. Three Criminal Trespass Warnings were issued and a report has been made.
On Monday, November 4, at 13:43 hours, Deputy Bastardo was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center for a walk-in. This was in regards to harassment. Deputy Bastardo spoke with a woman who said her ex-husband has been harassing her at work. A report was taken.
On November 4, approximately 19:00 hours, Cpl. Hopson responded to South U.S. Highway 183 for a forgery report. The incident is still being investigated.
