Funeral services for Wesley Faries, age 77, of Brownwood, will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday, August 29, 2016 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with James Posey officiating.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00.

Mr. Faries passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 in Abilene.

Wesley Benjamin Faries was born on January 25, 1939 in Coleman County to Jessie and Dora (Burton) Faries.  He married Carolyn Wood on January 20, 1960 in Brownwood.  Wesley worked as a truck driver for Kohler Company for a number of years.  He was a former member of Belle Plain Baptist Church.

Wesley is survived by his three children, Lynn Faries and wife Gina of Gouldbusk, Tammy Gray and husband Justin of Huntsville and Kathy Hunter of Brownwood; eight grandchildren, Ben Gray and wife Tiffani of Richmond, Justin Michael Gray and wife Hannah of Huntsville, Walker Inge, Kailyn Faries and Christina Faries, all of Gouldbusk, Samuel Hunter, Luke Hunter and Aiden Greenrock all of Brownwood; three great-grandchildren, Harper Gray, Max Gray and Hunter Gray; a brother, Jessie Faries and wife Rene of Bangs, a sister, Orphy Laws of Coleman and his friend and companion, Patsy Grider of Brownwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn in 2001, a grandson, Noah Hunter and two sisters.
