Brownwood News – According to District Attorney, Micheal Murray, a Brownwood woman pled guilty to 1st Degree Felony Murder this morning (Thursday) in Brown/Mills County District Court.
Vanessa Nicole Narvaez, age 22, was sentenced to Fifty (50) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division, in the death of her two-year-old child.
It was Monday, November 19th, 2018 at approximately noon, Brownwood Police, Brownwood Fire and Life Guard EMS were called to an apartment at the Villas Apartments located at 4235 S. US 377 for a medical emergency involving a child.
The 2 year old child was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center in critical condition with head injuries inconsistent with information provided by the mother at the scene.
The child was flown to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. The child died during surgery that same day.
