EfrainThe Texas Department of Transportation recently announced the appointment of Efrain Almodova as the Brown County Maintenance Supervisor.  Almodova succeeds Roque Dimas and will oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities for the 768 lane miles within the 944 square miles of Brown County.

Almodova has been a part of the TxDOT family for 24 years.  He started as a Maintenance Technician in TxDOT’s Lubbock District in 1990.  By 2001, he would rise through the ranks to become the Maintenance Section Supervisor of the Yoakum Section.

He came to the Brownwood District in 2012 to serve as the Maintenance Supervisor in Comanche County.  For a few months, Efrain even oversaw the maintenance activities of two counties, Brown and Comanche.  His focused shifted solely to Brown County in August, when his replacement was hired in Comanche.

Efrain is happy to be working in Brown County where he and his wife, Deborah, have lived for the last 12 years.  When not working, he enjoys spending time with Deborah, working on home improvement projects, tending to his congregation responsibilities, and leather crafts.
