Tim_JacobsTwo more candidates have filed for places on the ballot in November’s Brownwood ISD school board elections.

Tim Jacobs (pictured) has filed in place 7 as a candidate for BISD school board trustee.  Jacobs currently sits on the school board and was appointed to the position in 2009.  Jacobs holds a bachelors degree in Pharmacy, and is a Pharmacist at Doc’s Drugstore in Brownwood.  Jacobs and his wife, Kerri, have four children, Weston, Katy, Wyatt and Kamille who have attended or are attending Brownwood schools.

Michael Cloy has also filed as a candidate for school board trustee in place 1.  Cloy served on the school board from 2001-2006 and has served as Vice President and President.  He is employed as a Physician Assistant at Heart of Texas Internal Medicine.  Cloy and his wife Dana have three children Caitlyn, Carson, and Caroline who all attend Brownwood Schools.  Cloy is a Certified Master Trustee after attending a year-long leadership academy hosted by the Texas Association of School Boards.

Four seats on the Board will be up for election including place 1 (currently held by John Nickols), place 3 (currently held by Roderick Jones), place 6 (currently held by Dr. Justin Murphy), and place 7 (currently held by Tim Jacobs).  Seats are determined by geographic district.  The last day to file for a place on the ballot is August 24, and the election will be held November 2.

Jones filed as a candidate in place 3 last week.
