Brownwood News – Brownwood ISD has announced Ms. Darla Peter as the new Director of Special Populations. Ms. Peter currently serves as the Executive Director at Talyor-Callahan Education Cooperative (TCEC) in Abilene. She will be joining Brownwood ISD full-time in January.

Ms. Peter is a highly regarded professional in her field and brings with her over 26 years of experience in education. She is a licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). Prior to her work at TCEC, she served as a Special Education Director for Lampasas ISD, a School Psychologist for Menard Special Education Cooperative, and served in the classroom as a teacher for Iraan-Sheffield ISD, Mason ISD, Terrell County ISD, and Northside ISD. Her education includes Diplomate of the American Board of School Neuropsychology (ABSNP) from Texas Women’s University in 2005, a Master of Arts in School Psychology from Trinity University in 2000, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas of San Antonio in 1990.
