Sterlyn Maurice Heleman of Coleman, Texas passed from this life on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 am at his residence at the age of 79 years.
Private services will be held with the family with Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman in charge of arrangements.
Maurice was born April 1, 1940 in Rotan, Texas to Joe Lewis and Florence Truman Kay Heleman. He was raised in Rotan where he was a member of the Baptist Church and graduated from Rotan High School. On September 12, 1969 Maurice married Ronna Kay Lamb in Corpus Christi, Texas. He served his country with the United States Army enlisting at the age of 18 years. For many years Maurice owned and operated a flower Shop in Kingsville, Texas, then he was employed with the U S postal service until his retirement in 1992. He has been a resident of Coleman and Santa Anna for the past 13 years, loved horses and dancing with JoAnn Allen.
