Funeral services for Stella Marie Holland, 92, of Eastland, formerly of Brownwood , will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 12, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, February 11, at the funeral Home.
Stella Marie Robertson was born on January 18, 1921, in Grosvenor Texas to Claude Robertson and Mary Lewis Robertson. She married Clarence Holland and together they raised 11 children. Stella was a wonderful lady who never met a stranger and always helped those in need. She was well known in Brownwood and was called “Grand Ma” by both family and friends. She also loved her little Chihuahuas and had such a soft heart that she was always taking in stray dogs.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Betty Lee Peel of Corpus Christi, Brenda Kay Holland of Oklahoma, Wanda Jean Tiner of Cisco, Opal Maxine Spivey of Comanche, Tommy Dale Holland of Brownwood and Elmer Andrew Eugene Holland of Rule. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Clarence Holland; children, Mary Agnes Minton, Glenda Lee Peel, Jimmy Dean Holland, Joe Holland and Charles Wayne Holland; her parents, Claude and Mary Robertson;
