This week Brownwood students 4th-12th will be taking State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR™) tests. These standardized tests have replaced the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), and will cover the subjects as listed below. The following is the STAAR testing schedule for Brownwood March 26th-29th:
Monday, March 26th:
- BHS – English I Writing EOC (on-line)
- BHS – English III Writing EOC-field test (paper)
Tuesday, March 27th:
Wednesday, March 28th:
- BHS – English II-STAAR-Modified Writing-Field Test
- Grade 4-STAAR writing-Day 2
- Grade 7-STAAR writing-Day 2
- Grade 5-STAAR reading
- Grade 8-STAAR Reading
Thursday, March 29th:
- BHS – English II-STAAR-Modified Reading-Field Test
All make-up tests for any missed this week, must be completed by Friday, March 30th. All students are encourages to get plenty of rest the night before and eat a good breakfast on test days. The next week of STAAR testing will include 3rd grade and is scheduled for the week of April 23rd.
