Sharyn Kaye Gilbert, age 73, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Saturday, July 31, 2015 in Brownwood. Cremation is under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home and her family will have a private service at a later date.
Sharyn was born on October 13, 1941 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Leonard Martin and Lavonne Nelson Weckwerth. She was married to David Gilbert in Iowa and he preceded her in death. Sharyn was a retired waitress and had resided in Brownwood since 2008 moving here from Isle, Minnesota.
Survivors include her daughters Michelle Miller and Fiance’ Robert Peck of Elm Mott, Texas, Lisa Stanford and husband Vann of May; brother Ron Weckworth and wife Arlene of Early, Linda Boike of Federal Way, Washington, Vickie Sellers of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Deborah Swogger and husband Rick of Arlington; grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy and Jessica Miller, Hunter and Sharee Stanford; great grandchildren Joshua Seline, JaceSeline andMateaFondergrath.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
