RidgewayTerryTwo Coleman County teens were arrested on charges of Aggravated Robbery Saturday night, according to the Brownwood Police Department.

At approximately 11:29 p.m. police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery at the Kwik Stop convenience store, located in the 1900 block of Belle Plain.   According to police, the store clerk advised that a male subject walked into the store with a pump shot gun, pointed it at him and demanded money.   When the clerk continued to work on his paperwork and refused to give the man any money, the suspect turned and left the store, getting into a white Ford mustang and traveled north toward Lake Brownwood, the report states.  No money was taken in the robbery and no injuries were reported, according to the report.

Surveillance video showed the suspect come into the store and point the full length shotgun, load and cock it while he demanded money from the clerk.  The clerk was observed raising his right arm and extending his middle finger toward the suspect, the report states.  The video then showed the suspect lowering the gun, putting it down to his side and running out of the store, according to police.

The suspect was noted to have been wearing a white shirt, black pants, a red colored bandana on top of his head, and a dark colored bandana around his face just below his eyes, according to the report.  Although the suspects face was covered, he was later identified as 18-year-old Colten Ridgeway of Santa Anna.

With the description of the vehicle and the direction it was traveling, Texas Department of Public Safety was able to locate the vehicle and make a traffic stop, with the assistance of Brown County Sheriff’s deputies, which led to the discovery of a shot gun in the vehicle, according to the report.  The suspect was identified by his clothing, police stated.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as 18-year-old Cameron Scott Terry was also arrested due his knowledge of the offense and involvement in driving the vehicle away from the scene.  Ridgeway and Terry were each charged with aggravated robbery.  Ridgeway was also arrested for an active Coleman County warrant related to sexual assault of a child and was additionally charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.  Ridgeway was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $101,500; and Terry was being held in lieu of $100,000 bond as of Monday morning.
