Local law enforcement has asked the Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers and the community for information regarding a recent surge of vandalism in the Brownwood and Bangs areas.
General vandalism and smashing of mailboxes and trash cans have been rampant according to area law enforcement agencies. Recently Brownwood Police Department reported multiple mailboxes being damaged and trash cans overturned in the Woodland Heights area, which included one mailbox that belonged to a BPD officer. The locations of the damage was in the 3900 block of 4th Street, the 1400 block of Phillips, 3800 block of 3rd Street and 1300 block of Indian Creek.Anyone with any information is asked to contact Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS or local law enforcement. Anonymous tips may also be sent to Crime Stoppers by texting “hottips” plus the tip information to 274637.
