Tuesday, February 14th

*4:44 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of San Benito in reference to an assault. Officers spoke with the victim and a report was generated.

Friday, February 17th

*2:07 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a call from Brookshire’s regarding fraudulent  checks. According to the report, over $900 worth of checks were cashed. A known suspect was listed and the investigation is ongoing.

*4:46 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance near the 3600 block of 2nd Street. A report was filed after the complainant advised officers her husband had threatened her and she was in fear for her life.

*10:05 p.m. Brownwood Police received a call about a reckless driver on S. US 377. The caller continued to follow the reckless driver into the Brownwood city limits. Officers located the suspect, and noted the interior lights were on while driving. Brownwood police initiated a traffic stop near the 3700 block of US 377. After investigation, officers arrested Jesus Gomez Sosa for Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd or more offense.

 

Saturday, February 18th

*1:13 p.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Fort Worth regarding a theft. Several jewelry items were reported stolen and a known suspect was listed. The investigation is ongoing.

*1:41 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance call from the 600 block of Avenue G.

*1:53 p.m. Brownwood Police were called to United Supermarket regarding theft of property. After investigation, officers arrested Ashley Nicole Vrba for shoplifting over $20 worth of hair products. Officers also discovered Vrba to be in possession of narcotics including alprazolam and tramadol. Vrba was charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, less than 28 grams.

*4:08 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a north Brownwood business in reference to a theft. While en route, dispatch advised the officers the suspect had fled on foot. The individual was later located and apprehended.

*8:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance near the 1100 block of Holcomb. Officers arrested Jon Aaron White for Assault/Family Violence.

Sunday, February 19th

*1:29 a.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of West Commerce Street regarding an assault. A report was filed.

*10:13 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding counterfeit money. The bill was placed into evidence and a report was filed.

*10:41 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block Belmeade Street in reference to a theft. According to the report, over $3,000 worth of power tools were stolen. An investigation is ongoing.

*1:25 p.m. Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 8th Street regarding a burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a crossbow, pellet rifle, and machete were stolen by unknown suspects. An investigation is ongoing.
