Mary Addie Long, age 89, of Brownwood, died Tuesday night at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with minister Ryan Smithey officiating. Burial will follow in the Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County. Visitation will be held from 6 – 7 on Friday evening at the funeral home.
She was born August 29, 1920 in Holt, Texas the daughter of the late Eallie Van and Minnie Hardman Mitchel. She attended schools at Holt and later married William Long at Mercury on January 14, 1937. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of the 4th and Stewart Church of Christ. She had been a resident of Brownwood since 1957.She is survived by her son, William Lowell Long of Brownwood
A Grandson – Daine Long of Brady
A Sister – Irene Cummings of Richland Springs
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 Brothers, Eallie, Namon, Denver, and Arthur and a sister, Verue Lancaster.
