Linda Lee Van Meter-Yates, 75, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away peacefully March 10, 2016 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
She was born Linda Van Meter on September 17, 1940 to Lindal and Minnie Van Meter in Eunice, New Mexico, and was a proud and lifelong Texan. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was an accomplished quilter, seamstress, and author. She will be remembered for her loving and caring ways to her family and all who knew her.
Survivors include her brother, Ted Van Meter, and wife Laura of San Antonio; sister, Carolyn Moody of Corpus Christi; son, Brett Evans, and wife Pamela, of Wasilla, Alaska; son, Mark Evans, and wife Karen, of Eagle River, Alaska; daughter, Rebecca Petit, and husband, Jeff, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; daughter, Terri Barner, and husband Brad, of Brownwood, Texas, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.The graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Eastlawn Memorial Park, in Early, Texas.
