Friday, August 2

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report (by telephone) of the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the home on Hwy 183 North in Early had been entered without the owner’s permission and a bag of tools along with several vinyl records were removed from the property.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle from a home on County Road 608.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her niece had taken the vehicle without permission.

Saturday, August 3

*4:41 PM – Brownwood Police were called to St. Patrick’s Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a homemade barbeque pit and miscellaneous scrap metals were stolen from the property sometime during the hours of 8:00 p.m. August 2nd and 2:00 p.m. on August 3rd.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft at CARE Inc.  According to the report, the complainant advised that his wallet had been stolen out of his nightstand by an unknown suspect sometime between August 1st and 3rd.

Monday, August 5

*9:40 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of the theft of a cell phone.  According to the report, the complainant stated that their cellular phone had been inadvertently left at Home Depot at the cash registers or in the parking lot.

*1:12 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of an assault which had occurred at a residence in Brownwood.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend had pushed her off of the bed at the residence.

*8:56 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Alamo Court regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, after being out of town for two days, the complainant stated that his 2008 Cadillac CTS had been stolen.  During the initial investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle had crossed the border into Mexico on Sunday, August 4th, 2013.

*11:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of La Monte Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a man and his wife began arguing over a text message when she became very upset and started throwing things and breaking items around the residence.  The complainant stated that when he attempted to restrain her to keep her from breaking more things, she punched him in the groin area, the report states.  No charges were filed at the time of the report; however both subjects were issued a notice to adult victims of family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of child neglect after a child was found wandering the roadway in Blanket.  According to the report, the child’s father had gone to work, leaving the child to wake up and walk to her babysitter’s home.  The child was released to her ex-stepmother at the request of her father, the report states.  A concerned citizen called the Child Protective Services report line as did the child’s mother who lives out of town, to report neglect or abuse, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Amanda Elaine Carrillo after she was stopped for a traffic violation and a search of the vehicle uncovered several grams of meth packaged for delivery, BCSO officials stated.  Carrillo was arrested and charged with manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams and tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old George Alford Ford on several warrants related to theft of property greater than $1500 less than $20,000 enhanced, theft of property $500-$1500 enahnced, possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver’s license.  Ford is being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $101,500.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 27-year-old Tamara Hopkins on city warrants related to failure to appear and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

*29-year-old Tiffany Jean Kite of Cleburne turned herself in on a Comanche County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Tuesday, August 6

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he received three notices that a request to change the statement address on three of his accounts; however he did not initiate the change of address request with his local bank.
