Wednesday, August 27

*1:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, the store wished to pursue charges and the investigation is ongoing.

*2:26 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 8th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.

Thursday, August 28

*10:27 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3400 block of Milam Drive, Janie Clements Industries, regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, the victim stated he was assaulted by a known suspect.  Due to the subject living in the same group home as the complainant, a report for family violence was made for further consideration, the report states.

*10:28 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the screen to the rear door of her home had been damaged in July.

*11:04 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*12:49 PM – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Poindexter regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant reported that she had returned home around 10:56 a.m. after being gone for approximately 30 minutes and found that someone had entered her home.  At the time of the burglary, the complainant only noticed a jar containing about $60 in coins to be missing and named two possible suspects.  At 12:11 p.m., the complainant called and stated that she had found several pieces of jewelry to be missing from the home and that she wished to pursue criminal charges.

*2:45 PM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an alleged sexual assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he was sexually assaulted in 1991.

*3:03 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding the theft of beer.   According to the report, suspects were identified and an investigation is ongoing.    Charges are being pursued, the report states.

*6:48 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s investigators made contact with two subjects at a car wash on Belle Plain, which later turned into a traffic stop resulting in the K9 unit being deployed on the vehicle.  According to the report, the K9 alerted and methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle.  29-year-old Jerry Contreras, Jr. was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*9:19 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue.  This stop led to the arrest of 34-year-old Mark Edward Oden III for driving while license invalid with a prior conviction.

*10:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside regarding an assault.  According to the report, the officer spoke with a male and female about the incident.  The officer observed injuries to the female and subsequently the male was placed under arrest for assault with injury family violence.

*11:29 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Southside Drive regarding a suspicious person who was standing in the yard of a south Brownwood apartment complex.  During the investigation, officers discovered a quantity of methamphetamine in the clothing of a subject.  After being arrested, the subject admitted that he possessed the methamphetamine with the intent to sell it, the report states.   The subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 in a drug free zone.

* Brownwood Police received a report of the alleged sexual assault of a child at a Brownwood apartment complex.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Jeffery Lewis Hale of Coleman on a warrant related to unauthorized use of a vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Takeisha Dnae Lewis of Abilene on warrants related to failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance, motion to revoke possession of marijuana and surety withdrawals for possession of a controlled substance, theft (Taylor County), and two counts of theft of property (Taylor County). Lewis is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $56,000 as of Friday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Margaret Loehman of Early on warrants related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, failure to appear/possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a dangerous drug.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Tommi Deann Miller on warrants related to forgery and burglary of a habitation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Jessica Elizabeth Parsons on warrants related to failure to appear and surety withdrawals related to possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and driving while license invalid.  Parsons was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $33,000 as of Friday morning.

Friday, August 29

*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Christian Xavier Garcia for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.

*Brownwood police arrested 39-year-old Mary Jean Harrell of Brownwood on a warrant related to parent contributing to nonattendance.

*Brownwood Police arrested 36-year-old Reginald Dewayne Jones of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
