Friday, August 24

*2:35pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a pickup drove away without paying for a purchase which totaled $78.09.  The caller provided a possible license plate and the vehicle was located the next day and the situation resolved, the report states.

*8:27pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue B regarding domestic violence.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her husband hit her in the face during an argument.

*8:57pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of 1st Street due to an expired registration.  According to the report, the stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 29-year-old Michael Lee McAnn for No Driver’s License 3rd or More.

*9:00pm-Brownwood Police received a report of an attempted sexual assault at a residence located on Southside Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male attempted the assault at a party.  The suspect has been identified; however no arrest has been made at the time of the report and the case is pending further investigation, the report states.

Saturday, August 25

*8:29am-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a window of one of the rooms at a local motel was reported to have been broken.

*9:14am-Brownwood Police met with a reporting party who had found a small green military box full of ammunition, which was left by a previous tenant, at her new rent house.   According to the report, the woman did not want to be in possession of ammunition and turned it into the Brownwood Police Department.

*4:55pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 400 block of W. Commerce due to a seatbelt violation.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 21-year-old Crystal Gayle Newingham, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.  The passenger, Michael John Zarate, was arrested for outstanding Brown County warrants.

*7:00pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant felt threatened by another subject who had been staying at the same apartment complex.  An informational report was taken to document the situation.

*7:27pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a Craftsman tool box was stolen from the bed of his pickup.  The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.

*10:38pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 6th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a male subject allegedly pushed his common law wife off of the front porch of the residence, causing her to be injured.  The male was arrested and charged with Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Jermiah McCasland of Round Rock for Driving While License Invalid and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Sunday, August 26

*2:31am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that 58-year-old Marvin Carroll Gibson of River Dale, Georgia, who she was sharing a room with, allegedly hit her in the jaw during an argument.  After investigation, Gibson was arrested for Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury .

*2:37am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Beaver and Gifford Streets regarding an assault.  Investigation led to the arrest of 23-year-old Christopher Benavides for Public Intoxication.

*7:47am-Brownwood Police were called to a hit and run in the 4600 block of Oakridge Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person drove a vehicle through a gate at the end of the road.

*10:18am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding found property.  According to the report, two debit cards were found by a cleaning crew at the location.  The cardholders were unable to be contacted by officers and the cards were placed in the Brownwood Police Department property room for safe keeping.

*4:40pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Avenue E regarding a burglary.  According to the report, an unknown subject stole several items from the residence.

*8:38pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Commerce for a speeding violation.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 22-year-old Jason Rosas, did not have a valid driver’s license.   It was found that Rosas had two previous convictions and Rosas was then arrested for Driving While License Invalid 3rd or More.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Maria Medina Arrellano of Cross Plains for Making Alcohol Available to Minor

*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Bobby Ryan Suniga for Assault Cuases Bodily Injury.

Monday, August 27

*1:06am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding an unwanted person.   An unwanted male, identified as 44-year-old Charles W. Henderson of Covington, was issued a trespass warning at the request of a complainant, as this warning was being issued.  It was determined that Henderson was intoxicated and he was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication.
