Wednesday, October 26

*9:30pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1700 block of Good Shepherd in reference to a subject who had just attempted to break into an apartment at this address.  According to the report, an investigation determined that the suspect had attempted to enter the apartment where the complainant had been staying until recently.  The complainant showed police that she had filed a temporary Ex Parte Protective Order against the suspect about 10 days ago, the report states.  The suspect, who used to be the complainant’s boyfriend was unable to be found. 

Thursday, October 27

*8:51am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding lost property.  According to the report, a male told police that he left his hearing aids at a local hotel, in the 500 block of W. Commerce, on October 12th and didn’t notice until after he had checked out.  The complainant stated that he contacted the hotel in an attempt to recover the hearing aids but was told by an employee that no one had turned in any hearing aids to the lost and found, the report states.  The complainant told police that he believes the hearing aids were more than likely taken by the cleaning personnel after he left.  The approximate value of the hearing aids is estimated at $450 by the complainant, according to the report.

*10:11am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Fisk regarding theft.  An officer spoke with a local businessman who reported stolen property from his business.  An investigation of Theft Greater than $1500 Less than $20,000 is underway.

*3:03pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue D regarding a stolen pit bull puppy.  According to the report, the puppy was described as predominantly black with two white front feet and a white spot on its chest.  The puppy is between three and six months old according to the report.

*4:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue, CVS Pharmacy, regarding shoplifting.  According to the report, a female subject was inside the store and was placing items into her purse.  During the call, no stolen property was located on the female; however at the request of management, the suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning, the report states.

*4:50pm-A Brownwood Police officer was called to the 500 block of Main Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, after speaking with both parties involved, there was no physical violence and the situation was solved by separation of the two parties.

*8:10pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to an address on 12th Street regarding a violation of a protective order.  According to the report, a warrant is being sought for the suspect’s arrest for the violation.

*11:19pm-Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of 6th Street.  During the stop, it was found that the driver had a suspended driver’s license with surcharge due/no insurance.  The driver, identified as 45-year-old Carolyn Sue May, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid Surcharge Due-No Insurance.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
