Thursday, August 12

*At 1:53pm, Brownwood Police met a complainant at the BPD regarding Credit/Debit Card abuse.  According to the report, the complainant advised that a client who resides at Southpark Development Center, where the she works, had stolen her credit card and used it several times in the Brownwood area.  When officers spoke to the suspect, she admitted that she had used the card without knowledge or consent of the owner the report states.  The woman was not arrested but listed as a suspect in the report.   The total unauthorized charges to the complainant’s bank account were $121.49.

Monday, August 16

*At 8:30pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding a dispute between an employee of a local restaurant and a customer.  The complainant explained that the suspect had called and threatened to come to the restaurant and cause her bodily harm according to the report.  The complainant wished to pursue charges for the threats.  An open case was filed.

Tuesday, August 17

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Francisco Abelardo Escobedo for Criminal Trespass.

*At 5:56pm, Brownwood Police were called to the alleyway between 6th Street and Avenue I.  Upon arrival a man, later identified as arrested 40-year-old Timothy Charles Seider, was noted to be stumbling down the alley the report states.   The officer yelled for him to stop; however, Seider quickened his pace which nearly caused him to fall several times the report states.  According to police, as the officers caught up with Seider, he began to cry and yell hysterically that he would be imprisoned, explaining that an officer had given him his third DWI.  He further explained that he was at a friend’s house drinking and was just trying to walk home according to the report.  Seider was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication.

*At 12:27pm Brownwood Police officers were dispatched to 110 E. Baker (Forget-Me-Not Florist) in reference to a window that had been criminally damaged by a BB gun.  During investigation, officers discovered several other windows and doors of other businesses in the area to be damaged as well.  The other businesses that received damage are 108 E. Baker (The Comic Shop), 108A E. Baker (Brownwood Municipal Police Association Headquarters), 203 Center (The Scrub Shoppe) and 301 Center (Kings Music).  Total damage was estimated to be approximately $2700.

*At 9:59pm, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Austin Avenue.  The complainant told the officers that she was assaulted by her mother, 37-year-old Christie Selvie.  According to the report, the complainant requested medical treatment due to the injuries sustained during the assault and was transported by Guardian EMS to BRMC ER.  Photos of both women’s injuries were taken as evidence.  Selvie was arrested for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
