Wednesday, August 15
*12:27pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of San Benito Drive regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect has been coming to her residence and harassing her about allegedly stealing a comforter. A trespass warning was requested by the complainant to be issued to both the suspect and her boyfriend. A trespass warning was issued to the suspect and the officer asked her if she wished to pursue criminal charges against the complainant regarding the comforter and she declined, the report states. The boyfriend was unable to be located at the time of the report.
*1:42pm-While conducting an investigation, two Brownwood Police investigators observed three subjects sitting in a pickup truck in a driveway of a residence in the 800 block of Avenue A. Contact was made with the individuals and marijuana was located. As a result, 30-year-old Patrick Gonzales of Goldthwaite was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces in a Drug Free Zone.
*3:42pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 100 block of Short Street regarding a vehicle that had defective tail lights. According to the report, the driver was contacted and found to have a suspended driver’s license and three previous convictions for Driving While License Invalid and no insurance on the vehicle she was driving. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Burnett Alpha Lucille Ralston (alias Lucy Otwell), was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions and issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
*4:53pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Crockett Drive for an animal bite. According to the report, the complainant’s daughter had been bitten on the lip by a dog at the business they were patronizing. Information about the incident, those involved, and the dog was collected and the case was turned over to Animal Control.
*8:23pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Oak Street regarding theft of property. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject stole her driver’s side rear tire from her vehicle. The vehicle had been parked at the location for approximately one month and has not been in operation the complainant stated. The officer observed the vehicle which was being held up by a brick and the driver’s side rear tire missing.
*9:06pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault of a public servant in the Brown County Jail. BCSO reports state that a jailer was pushed to the ground by an inmate. The jailer was passing out cleaning supplies in the jail when the incident occurred. The report states that the jailer suffered an injury to his shoulder. The inmate, Joe Dale Smith, will face a charge of assault on a public servant, according to the report.
*9:11pm-Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 2400 block of Elizabeth Drive on a male riding a bicycle without a visible white light on the front. The male, identified as 33-year-old James David Fleming, was found to be in possession of marijuana and a marijuana pipe, according to reports. Fleming was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Early Police arrested 35-year-old Eric Sean Sears of Stephenville for Driving While Intoxicated.
Thursday, August 16
*12:03am-Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched regarding a female walking down Hwy 67. According to the report, the female was not able to be located but the deputy was flagged down by a man carrying a gas can. The man, identified as 51-year-old Craig Williams, stated that he had been in a car with the female when they ran out of gas coming back from Bangs, the report states. He told the officer that he had met the woman on Melwood Street and was letting her drive to see her boyfriend in Bangs. When they were coming back, they ran out of gas and Williams said that the woman had taken off walking back towards Bangs, the report states. Williams showed signs of intoxication and admitted to having three beers, according to the deputy’s report. Williams was arrested for Public Intoxication, the report states.
*1:03am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of 12th Street regarding a burglary. According to the report, a suspect has been identified.
