Brownwood News – Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC) celebrated National Nursing Week combined with National Hospital Week on May 7-11. A fun week of activities was organized by the Employee Engagement Team and was assisted by the Leadership group.

The week was kicked by offering flavored popcorn snacks; Tuesday and Thursday the staff enjoyed specially prepared omelets; Wednesday brought the option for the employees to have their car washed by a fun group of employees. The activities concluded on Friday with a grilled steak dinner prepared by our very own leadership cooking team.

“The healthcare profession is challenging, but we commend our staff that cares for the residents of Brownwood and the surrounding counties on a daily basis.” said Chip Camp, CEO at BRMC. Camp went on to say, “Showing appreciation once a year to our nursing staff and other healthcare workers is not nearly enough, but we do appreciate their efforts every day caring for our friends and family; this is just a special week set aside to show appreciation in a bigger way and thank them for all their hard work.”
