Monday, August 8

*8:39pm-Brownwood Police received a report of Assault with Injury Family Violence in the 1000 block of Santa Clara.

Thursday, August 11

*10:58am-Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  The complainant stated that sometime after 8:00pm an unknown subject(s) came onto her property and stole three window air conditioning units.

*3:46pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of 4th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  The complainant stated that between the hours of 8:00pm on August 8th and 1:30pm August 11th an unknown subject entered his vehicle and stole a duffel bag and a suitcase.  He stated that items stolen in the duffel bag and suitcase included a Bulova watch with a Harley Davidson wristband, bottle of hydrocodone, bottle of antibiotics and assorted clothing.

*5:07pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, where loss prevention employees reported theft.  According to the report, 58-year-old Marian Chapman was arrested for theft equal or greater than $50 less than $500.  Stolen property was recovered and returned to the store.

*8:00pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  As officers arrived, they noticed large amounts of clothing “strewn across the roadway” and four females fighting, the report states.  The females were all identified and one of them, 17-year-old Lapauldria Lasha Jackson, was arrested for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*9:34pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 3600 block of Durham regarding a burglary of a habitation.  The complainant stated two known suspects entered his residence without permission and stole several items according to the report.

*Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1800 block of 8th Street.  The complainant stated that her nephew, identified as 17-year-old Dustin Scott Atkins, who lives with her became drunk and began pushing and “manhandling” her, according to police.

According to police officials, the complainant became scared and locked herself in the bathroom where she called 911.  Atkins kicked in the door and took the phone from her and allegedly pushed her into the bathtub police report.  When police arrived, Atkins was on the porch and the complainant was still in the house.  Atkins was uncooperative stated police and was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence and Interfere with Emergency Call.

*Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  Loss prevention employees stated two juveniles each stole less than $50 in merchandise.  The juveniles were issued citations and released.  Items stolen included a 20ct.box of Crest Whitestrips and two containers of NYC face powder.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
