Tuesday, June 23

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant had sold a pickup truck to a buyer and when he attempted to cash the check, the bank informed him that the buyer had put a stop payment order issued against the check.

Wednesday, June 24

*9:55 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine, a vacuum at a car wash.

*7:56 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding theft.  According to the report, a bicycle belonging to the complainant’s son was stolen from the residence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Joseph Anthony Mendieta of Austin on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal/manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Thursday, June 25

*12:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Durham Avenue regarding a noise nuisance.  According to the report, loud music was coming from the apartment behind the residence and the vehicles around the residence.   This call led to the issuance of citations for minor in consumption of alcohol to several juvenile subjects, both male and female.

*1:22 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy assisted an Early Police officer with a traffic stop. During the course of the stop it was determined the passenger in the vehicle, identified as 39-year-old Tiffany Davida Allison of Brownwood, had outstanding City of Brownwood warrants for her arrest.  Allison was placed in the patrol vehicle handcuffed, and while the officer was inventorying the vehicle, Allison began yelling and hitting the windows from the back seat and hitting her face on the metal partition in the patrol vehicle, the report states.  In an attempt to prevent further injuries, the deputy rode in the backseat while Allison was transported to the jail, according to the report.  During transport, Allison was again able to strike her face against the partition several times despite the deputy’s attempt to stop her, the report states.  Allison had injured herself and was bleeding profusely upon arrival to the jail and was then transported to the BRMC emergency room for treatment of a broken nose, according to the deputy’s report.  She was later released and transported back to the Brown County Jail without further incident, the report states.

*Early Police arrested 18-year-old John Mobley of Comanche for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
