Law enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, May 6, 2011.

Wednesday, May 4

*7:57pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of San Benito regarding theft.  The complainant reported that a box of Dewalt drill bits, a Black & Decker bush trimmer and a Motorola Razor cell phone were stolen from his shop and residence.  Known suspects were identified; however no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

*Early Police arrested 19-year-old Damien Lee Estrada for Tampering with Evidence and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

*11:20am-Brownwood Police report that a mail carrier was bit in the 600 block of N. Fisk.  According to the report, the dog is being tested for rabies.

Thursday, May 5

*9:23am-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant showed the officer a broken exterior window on her apartment.  The complainant identified possible suspects and the investigation is pending the report states.

*4:37pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the intersection of Walnut and Waco Street regarding the report of an intoxicated male who was yelling at people.  The officer located a male matching the description in the 1700 block of Waco Street.  When the officer drove up, he noticed that the male, later identified as 42-year-old Chad William Beasley, was talking and making gestures to a boat parked along the roadway and that there was no one else around the report states.  Contact was made with Beasley and an investigation led to his arrest for Public Intoxication.

*9:30pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Greenway and Magnolia regarding an intoxicated male.  According to the report, the responding officer made located a male, identified as 46-year-old Randy Lynn Sliger, who was walking in the roadway.  Sliger stated that he had ingested some prescription medication according to the report.  Sliger was arrested for Public Intoxication after a short investigation.

*9:55pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Vincent regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she has been receiving harassing and threatening phone calls from her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend.  The complainant also reported that she was fearful that the ex-girlfriend would assault her and attempt to harm her son, the report states.  She does wish to pursue charges against the suspect.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
