Monday, April 20

*8:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a Redbox movie machine was damaged on Sunday, April 19th.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

Tuesday, April 21

*7:14 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Avenue A regarding the burglary of a vehicle.   A possible suspect has been identified, the report states.

*7:38 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Greenway Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*8:58 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue J regarding a juvenile problem.  According to the report, after speaking to the complainant, the officer found that a 14-year-old boy intentionally broke a window.  The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center, the report states.

*10:57 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Avenue C.  According to the report, this stop led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia, which resulted in a citation being issued for the items.

*1:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding a forged check.  According to the report, the suspect forged a check to pay for their bail bond.  The suspect is known and an investigation is ongoing, the report states.

Thursday, April 23

*10:00 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Arrowhead regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, electronic equipment was stolen from the residence.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*11:21 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding alleged child abuse/neglect.  Child Protective Services was contacted and further investigation is pending.

*2:48 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of W. Anderson Street.  This stop led to the arrest of 23-year-old Adrienne Jenkins for an outstanding Dallas County warrant for possession of a dangerous drug.  While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, heroine was found and Jenkins was also charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched late Thursday morning to make a welfare check on a large number of dogs at a home on Sherwood Drive, near Bangs.  According to the deputy’s report, the dogs were allegedly not receiving adequate care, which was determined later to be unfounded.  When the deputy arrived at the home, he made entry to the property and was approached by a group of Mastiff dogs, which became aggressive, and one bit the deputy on the right leg, the report states.  The deputy fired his weapon at the dog, striking it in the jaw, the report states.  Another deputy arrived to assist the injured deputy.  The owner transported the dog to the veterinary clinic, where it later died.  An animal cruelty investigation was completed and the animals appeared to be in good, healthy condition, the report states.  Rabies vaccinations on the injured dog appeared to be expired, the deputy reported.  BCSO officials state there were approximately 15 adult dogs and a large number of puppies on the property at the time of the report.

Friday, April 24

*6:32 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a home on High Top Street in Brownwood regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant named possible known suspects who had been on his property earlier that morning before a pair of ramps to his trailer were noted to be missing from the property.

*7:37 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 100 block of C.C. Woodson.  This stop led to the arrest of 21-year-old Tasia Webb of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility.

*3:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Main regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*3:17 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, a male subject, identified as 55-year-old Ennis Mae Williams of Brownwood, was causing problems and was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct.

*7:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the intersection of E. Depot and Carnegie regarding an intoxicated driver.  The driver, 36-year-old Victor Lomas Gutierrez of Loha, Texas, was arrested for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more and was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room for a blood draw, and then transported to the Brown County Jail.

*9:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of 4th Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, a suspect was determined and a case of assault family violence with injury is being investigated.

*9:23 PM –Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Jacob Samuel McCullough for public intoxication.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 57-year-old Ronald Earl Coleman of Brownwood for a warrant related to open container-driver.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 19-year-old Hallie Shae Crouch of Brownwood for consumption of alcohol by minor.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Larry Scott Dudley of Clyde for tamper/fabricate physical evidence and unlawful manufacture/delivery of simulated controlled substance.

*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Michael Aaron McFarland of Brownwood on McCullough County warrant related to a surety withdrawal related to possession of a firearm by felon.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Billy Clyde Moore of Brownwood for tamper/fabricate physical evidence and unlawful manufacture/delivery of simulated controlled substance.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Karen Robinson of Coleman on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft by check greater than $20 less than $500.

Saturday, April 25

*11:01 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Durham Avenue regarding criminal mischief.

*2:46 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue E regarding an assault in progress.   According to the report, criminal mischief had also occurred at the residence.  Both incidents are being further investigated, the report states.

*3:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to a business on Hwy 279 regarding a possible terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant reported that a neighbor had come to his property and cursed at his wife and also allegedly stated that if the complainant shot his dog, he would shoot him.  Options were given to the complainant, including the possibility of filing a trespass warning against the neighbor.

*5:24 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue J regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, several firearms and electronic equipment were taken during the burglary.

*5:43 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4200 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding the violation of a protective order.

*11:13 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding an assault.  According to the report, the suspect had assaulted two individuals at a local park.  An investigation was ongoing, the report states.

*27-year-old Brett Lee Odell of Brownwood turned himself in on a Travis County warrant.

Sunday, April 26

*12:01 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 12th Street and Avenue K regarding failure to maintain a single lane.  This stop led to the arrest of the driver for driving while intoxicated.

*3:59 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Main Street regarding a possible hit and run accident.  According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 20-year-old Gilberto Ramirez, Jr. of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.   A blood specimen was taken at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room.

*9:29 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Dallas Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*10:53 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft of property.

*12:00 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of an assault from a juvenile complainant.  According to the report, the juvenile complainant stated that she and her mother had both been assaulted by her stepfather.  The incident is being further investigated and CPS was contacted, the report states.

*3:17 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the 2600 block of Belle Plain regarding an attempted burglary of a convenience store.

*3:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Southside Drive regarding a burglary.

*4:05 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of harassment by a known suspect via telephone.

*11:27 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Calvert Drive regarding speeding.  According to the report, the vehicle was traveling 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.  This stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 27-year-old Cody Lee Porter of Mullin, for driving while intoxicated and the passenger, identified as 26-year-old Paul Anthony Gallardo of Brownwood, for possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a motorcycle for failure to display a legible license plate.  During the stop, the rider 35-year-old Evlyn “Kitten” Kelly of Brownwood advised the deputy that she and the driver, 43-year-old Kevin Wayne Clark of Brownwood, had a methamphetamine pipe in the backpack she had on her back, the report states.  The pipe was located and contained a residue which later tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.  Both Clark and Kelly were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram. The motorcycle was inventoried and released to a towing company. Both subjects were transported to the Brown County Jail where they were released to the jail staff.

*Brownwood Police arrested 44-year-old Efrain Camarillo-Estrada for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Ronda Renee Howell of Brownwood for delivery of a dangerous drug and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Chris Dale Lavender of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams in a drug free zone.

*Early Police arrested 26-year-old John Anthony Martinez, Jr. on four City of Brady warrants related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams and three counts of criminally negligent homicide related to a triple fatality two-vehicle accident  which occurred  in April 2014.  Martinez was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $100,000.

Monday, April 27

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Jaylon Johnny Hallford of Bryan for driving while intoxicated.
