Monday, April 21
*5:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding the theft of a bicycle. According to the report, the complainant advised that her son’s bicycle had been stolen off of the porch of her apartment.
Tuesday, April 22
*5:29 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Elizabeth regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a GPS device and a pocket knife were stolen from the unlocked vehicle.
*10:54 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant that reported he had some insufficient funds checks that he was paid that were returned to him by the bank and that he spoke with the suspect and cannot get payment from the suspect.
*4:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Avenue I regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, an unknown subject “slashed” the front left tire of the complainant’s vehicle.
*8:24 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the theft of a generator. According to the report, the generator was stolen out of the back of the complainant’s dad’s work truck.*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Sliter conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Hwy 67 West and FM 1849. The driver was identified as 28-year-old Alberto Cantu of Bangs, who was found to have a suspended driver’s license with two prior convictions. Cantu gave Deputy Sliter permission to search his vehicle and three small pieces of a clear baggie were found which had a white substance on it which field tested positive for methamphetamine, the report states. Cantu was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and driving while license invalid.
*Bangs Police arrested 20-year-old Seth Travis Brim of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 52-year-old Jay Parker Doelling of Odessa for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Daniel Joseph Taylor of Lubbock on a warrant related to online solicitation of a minor.
Wednesday, April 23
*Early Police arrested 28-year-old Thomas Dale Gaffga of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
*Early Police arrested 26-year-old Janel Mayorga of Austin on a Travis County warrant for purchase/furnish alcohol to a minor.
