Law enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, November 4, 2011.

Tuesday, November 1

*10:00am-Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Commissioner Richard Gist of a golf cart that had been dumped off of a bridge on County Road 306 after receiving a call from a neighboring residence of the cart being abandoned in the creek bed.  According to the report, the cart looked as if it had been in good condition before it was pushed off of the side of the bridge where there is a 15-20 foot drop off.  It appeared to have flipped at least one time doing extensive damage to the body of the cart and causing three of the batteries to come off of the cart, the report states.  The cart’s serial number was checked to see if it had been reported stolen in either Brown or Mills Counties.

Wednesday, November 2

*8:36am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the complainant, someone broke a window out of her apartment while she was not present.

*12:05pm-Brownwood Police spoke to a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding forgery.  The complainant stated that a known subject had forged one of his checks, making some unauthorized purchases at Lilli’s Food located at 1201 Austin Avenue.

*4:00pm-Brownwood Police responded to 401 W. Commerce regarding theft.  This call led to the issuance of a citation to a female for theft less than $50.

*5:23pm-Brownwood Police responded to reports of threats made to individuals at a residence in the 500 block of Valley View.  According to the report, two victims identified a suspect who they reported waved a small pistol in front of their faces in a threatening manner.

*9:12pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft in the 1000 block of Center Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant had been playing basketball at the Wellness Center at Howard Payne University, leaving his iPhone 4G on the bleachers.  At 8:20pm, he noticed the iPhone had been stolen.  Two suspects have been named but had not been interviewed at the time of the report.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 39-year-old Gilbert Tamayo, Jr. for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

Thursday, November 3

*7:05pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Maple in reference to a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant named a suspect who he stated stole a brown leather jacket, valued at $450, from the complaint’s residence.  The complainant is pursuing charges, the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 45-year-old Billy Escovedo of Horn Lake, MS for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3 less than 28g.

Friday, November 4, 2011

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Joshua Huff for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 Greater than 1g Less than 4g and Tampering with Evidence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Jordan Acuff, 18-year-old Brian Baugh, and 18-year-old Shaquille Johnson, all of Lubbock, each charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
