Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

Thursday, February 23

*Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 10th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect stole several appliances and fixtures from her rent house. 

Monday, February 27

*2:40pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a stolen iPod.   

*2:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dublin regarding the violation of a protective order.  According to the report, the complainant showed officers that the subject who was issued the protective order had called her six times; however she did not wish to pursue charges.

*3:30pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a stolen cell phone.  The complainant stated that the phone was lost or stolen possibly while she was at Pizza Hut, at 507 block of W. Commerce on Sunday evening, February 26th.  Sometime since then, someone had accessed her personal information on the phone, the report states.  According to the report, the complainant stated that charges to her Amazon account and credit card accounts that are listed in the phone have been made as well.   No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*5:06pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft.  According to the report, the asset protection employee stated that a male subject, identified as Aaron Pippin, was observed concealing store merchandise in his pants and jacket.  Pippin then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items, which totaled $207.68, the report states.  Pippin was arrested and charged with Theft Equal or Greater than $50 Less than $500.

*5:33pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of N. Greenleaf regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim stated that her husband had grabbed the phone from her and pushed her to the ground when she attempted to call the police.  Although the victim had no visible signs of injury, she did indicate that she was pregnant, the report states. 

*9:43pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on 1st Street regarding a runaway juvenile.  According to the report, a female subject stated that her 15-year-old brother had run away sometime after 8:45pm.  Police state that the juvenile returned the next day around 4:30pm.

*9:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Service Master, 307 W. Baker Street.  According to the report, the complainant wished for police to issue a named subject a criminal trespass warning.

Tuesday, February 28

*10:13am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the emergency room at Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant told the officer that she had been physically assaulted the previous night by her husband at their residence in Odessa, Texas.

*2:10pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Santa Clara regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, there were several items missing from the building including jewelry, clothes, money and gaming systems.  No evidence was able to be located at the scene, the report states.

*13:50pm-Brownwood Police received a phone call from a complainant from Houston who reported a case of bigamy.  According to police, the woman wanted to file charges on her ex-husband for marrying another woman in Mitchell County (TX) in July of 2007 before their divorce was finalized in August of 2007.  Authorities stated that the woman had married the man in another state in 2004 and the couple separated when he was arrested, not completing the divorce due to financial situations.  The woman knew of his marriage to another woman; however did not have proof until this year, the officer stated.  According to the report, the woman did wish to pursue charges against the man for bigamy.

*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Kristopher Allen Roe for Failure to Identify as Sex Offender.

Wednesday, February 29

*1:36am-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown male who she met online had allegedly stolen $4175.00 from her through a fraudulent check scam. 

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
