Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, December 2 and Friday, December 3, 2010.
Monday, November 27
*2:00pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2500 block of Greenway regarding criminal mischief to a vehicle. According to the report the complainant stated that someone had cut the tires of his truck overnight. The damage was estimated to be approximately $380.
Wednesday, December 1
*7:59am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue A regarding a burglary of a vehicle. According to the report items stolen from the unsecured vehicle overnight were a CD player, a wallet containing social security cards and a driver’s license, an unknown number of Hydrocodone pills, and some make up.
*1:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, Brookshire’s, in reference to an intoxicated person. Investigation led to the arrest of 71-year-old Donald Lynn Copeland of Proctor for Public Intoxication.
*2:18pm-Brownwood Police received a call from a complainant who stated that her purse had been stolen out of her vehicle while it was parked at either Wal-Mart or Big Lots.
*6:03pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, to a report of Burglary of a Vehicle. According to the report, the complainant returned to his vehicle and found that a Mini-Craft compressor, valued at $500, had been stolen from his vehicle while it was parked near the back of the parking lot.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Samuel Ollie Allison for Driving While License Invalid.
*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Mykal Angelo Manzano for Failure to Identify, Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm and four outstanding warrants.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Rosette June Bouteiller for Driving While License Invalid 2nd.
Thursday, December 2
*10:08am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Belmeade regarding a theft. According to the report the theft had occurred sometime overnight according to the complainant. Stolen was the Right wheel and hubcap.
*10:47am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Magnolia where a complainant stated that her wallet had been stolen out of her purse while working at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church the report states. No suspects info or arrests at the time of the report.
*3:00pm-A Brownwood Police officer received a report of theft. According to the report the complainant stated that a hydraulic floor jack had been stolen out of his pick up while he was parked at work, in the 3600 block of US Hwy 377S.
*11:50pm-Brownwood Police responded to a report of a Domestic Disturbance in the 1800 block of 8th Street. Further investigation led to the arrest of 23-year-old Juan Benjamen Delgado and 18-year-old Ashley Fulcher for Assault with Injury Family Violence the report states.
*23:29pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a local hotel in the 500 block of E. Commerce. According to the report a male and female were reported to be arguing near the hotel pool the report states. After investigation of the area (due to the nature of the call) the suspect was identified as 22-year-old Michael Morrison of Fort Bend the report states. Morrison was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Friday, December 3
*2:00am-A Brownwood Police officer was parked near 1400 Durham, near a local convenience store when he noted two males inside the store. According to the report the two left the store and the officer observed what he believed to be an incident of shoplifting. As the males drove away a traffic stop was initiated and the officer saw a carton of ice cream in the vehicle which was thought to be stolen the report states. The driver was identified as 18-year-old Rolando Castaneda and the passenger was 18-year-old Jessie Michael Coppic. After a short investigation, Castaneda and Coppic were both arrested and charged with Theft less than $50 and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
*3:20pm-Early Chief of Police David Mercer reported that Sgt. Shawn Dibrell and Officer Johnny Brown observed a vehicle enter the highway in the 600 block of Early Blvd which crossed several lanes of traffic in a dangerous manner. Sgt. Dibrell stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver 43-year-old Tommy McKaughan and the passenger 48-year-old Diana Patterson of Abilene the report states.
According to Mercer, both McKaughan and Patterson were extremely nervous and showed signs of being under the influence of illegal drugs. McKaughan voluntarily gave officers consent for search of the vehicle after being questioned about their behavior and appearance the report states. The officers reported that as a meth kit was found in the pickup both Patterson and McKaughan admitted they had just used meth before leaving the home police reports state. According to the report Dibrell and Brown both looked further in the vehicle and located baggies commonly used for the sale of methamphetamines and found a quantity of methamphetamines on both McKaughan and Patterson.
Both McKaughan and Patterson were arrested and taken to the Brown Co Jail.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Robert Shayne Holland for Driving While Intoxicated.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
