Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, December 21, 2010.

Thursday, December 16

*10:42am-Brownwood Police were called to a burglary of a motor vehicle in the 4700 block of River Oaks.  According to the report, the complainant discovered that someone had stolen tools from his toolbox.  The complainant stated that he did not have any suspect information or know anyone who would steal from him.

Monday, December 20

*11:08am-Brownwood Police responded to Wal-Mart, 401 W. Commerce, regarding a hit and run.   According to the report, a witness advised that she had observed a gray BMW strike a gray Ford Explorer in the parking lot and leave the scene.  Police reports indicate that the vehicle was traveling toward Marketplace Blvd.  A Brownwood Police officer located the vehicle in the Home Depot parking lot and ran the VIN number.  Dispatch then advised the officer that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Austin.  Police are still investigating the incident.

*1:45pm-Brownwood City Marshal Dean Kilburn was driving in the 1400 block of Avenue A when he noticed two males walking.  According to the report, one of the males he recognized as 29-year-old James Melvin Sanford, who had active warrants for his arrest from the Brownwood Municipal Court.  Kilburn called out to the man and he and the other man kept walking at first the report states.  They finally turned and walked toward Kilburn and as they did, Sanford had his hand in his pocket according to the report.  Kilburn told him to remove his hand from his pocket and asked what he had in his pocket and Sanford answered that it was his pipe the report states.  Kilburn opened the pipe which had residue of marijuana according to the report.  Sanford was then arrested for the 5 warrants and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

*10:14pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Danhil Containers in Brownwood.  According to the report, an employee was on scene and reported that the front door was broken.  No one was found on scene and the owner advised nothing appeared to have been stolen the report states.  No suspects were known at the time of the report.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 38-year-old Javier Lara of Gorman for Driving While Intoxicated/Open Container.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Jacqueline Marie Sessions for Prohibited Substance at Correctional Facility, Tamper with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Driving While License Invalid.

*12:58am-Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of 10th Street regarding an unwanted person who had scratched the calling party.  According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 43-year-old Kristi Collins for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
