Wednesday, December 19

*2:52 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Crockett Drive regarding child abuse/neglect.  According to the report, the officer met with a Child Protective Services case worker who advised that a female had been to the location with her daughter and upon leaving, the female pulled the daughter’s hair causing her to fall to the ground outside, the report states.

*10:20 p.m. – Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Luis Medina on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault family violence/restricting airway, and unlawful possession of a firearm by felon.  According to the report, he is accused of being in an argument with a female and putting both of his hands around her throat so that she could not breathe or yell for help.  According to the report, the victim also stated that Medina threatened her with a kitchen knife and threatened to kill her if she “didn’t be quiet,” the report states.  Medina was found to have a firearm in the vehicle he drives regularly.

Thursday, December 20

*12:11 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding a terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been receiving messages via a social media website from a former roommate.  No offense had been committed; however the incident was documented.

*2:30 p.m. – Brown County Sheriff’s office was called to a residence on County Road 236 in Brown County where a couple had been in a verbal argument which escalated into physical violence.  According to the report, the male involved, identified as 29-year-old Clayton Keith Johanson, grabbed the female victim by the throat, impeding her breath during the argument.  The victim stated that after she was able to get away from Johanson, he followed her through the residence arguing and eventually strangled her a second time, the report states.  Once the victim escaped from Johanson again, she went to a neighbor’s residence and called law enforcement.  Johanson left the residence and was later located and stopped on FM 45, just south of the National Guard Armory by a DPS trooper.  The victim’s story was corroborated by visible red marks on her neck and the fact that the residence showed evidence of a struggle, the report states.  Johanson was arrested for assault family violence impede breath/circulation.

*6:00 p.m. – Brownwood Police received a report of a runaway juvenile.  According to the report, the complainant is taking care of the juvenile whose mother is incarcerated in the state prison system and that the complainant did not know the location of the juvenile.  The juvenile was entered as a runaway, the report states.

*8:30 p.m. – Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant via telephone regarding a report by an individual regarding the rumor of a threat made on Facebook that someone was going to “go to Brownwood High School and shoot people randomly.”  According to the report, the complainant stated that a person who was friends on Facebook with one of her relatives had posted that he was the one that was going to carry out the threat on Brownwood ISD.

Friday, December 21

*1:20 a.m. – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue H regarding a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road.  According to the report, the driver was identified as 34-year-old Nathaniel LaMonte Webb and was determined to be intoxicated.  Webb was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Gregory Lamar Jones of Allen for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
