Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, January 21, 2011.
Wednesday, January 19
*10:14am – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Stonebridge Circle regarding theft of water. It was determined that an identified suspect has been stealing water from the City of Brownwood since January 13, 2011 the report states. According to the report, the city does wish to pursue charges against the suspect for the theft.
*2:00pm – Brownwood Police were called to a report of fraud in the 100 block of Rose Lane. According to the report, the complainant explained that someone had stolen her identity and used it to purchase a 2010 Dodge Charger from Stanley Dodge in Brownwood. Suspects have been identified and listed in the report regarding the theft.
Thursday, January 20
*3:11pm-A Brownwood Police officer conducted a traffic stop at Austin Avenue and Avenue B. According to the report, the officer obtained consent to search the vehicle and found several types of illegal drugs that were located in the vehicle and in the possession of the occupants. The suspectes were identified as 42-year-old Bobby Gene Harwell and 47-year-old Mary Nadine Harwell of Abilene. Each were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Grade 3, <28g in a Drug Free Zone; Possession of Marijuana, equal or greater than 2 oz Drug Free Zone, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
*6:00pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a hit and run accident in the 500 block of Main Street.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Investigator Carlyle Gover stopped a vehicle on Early Blvd with expired tags which was occupied by 19-year-old Zachary Ramond Maxey, 34-year-old Shannon Irene Magnus, and 23-year-old Terrance Lynn Maxey. According to the report, during the course of the traffic stop Terrance Maxey identified himself using a fake name. After further investigation, he was positively identified as Terrance Maxey, and was found to have an outstanding warrant from Houston County for theft the report states. A search of the vehicle was conducted and marijuana and a smoking pipe were found. All three were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone. Terrance Maxey was charged additionally for Failure to Identify a as a Fugitive, and for the outstanding warrant from Houston.
*Deputy RC Lehman arrested Billy Boyer for eight outstanding traffic warrants. As a result of this arrest, the bonds set in these arrests nearly double the fine amounts.
*Deputy John Fincher arrested Sergio Castillo for three outstanding warrants, two of which are felony charges. Castillo was arrested for Motion to Revoke Probation on Theft & Burglary and a Failure to Appear in Court on Assault Family Violence.
Officials said that Brown County Deputies are continuing their efforts to round up those with outstanding warrents.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
