Monday, November 19

*4:49 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the report of an animal bite from the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room.

*5:31 p.m.-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that approximately thirty 1mg Alprazolam tablets were stolen from the bedroom of her home between the hours of 6:00 p.m. on November 11th and 5:30 p.m. on November 19th.

Tuesday, November 20

*9:22 a.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Main Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that between 9:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., an unknown subject stole a checkbook and a pair of sunglasses from their vehicle.  The complainant does wish to pursue criminal charges if a suspect can be identified, the report states.

*10:11 a.m.-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, an unknown suspect broke into the complainant’s vehicle and stole a couple of firearms and a compound bow.  The items stolen were valued at more than $1500.

*10:55 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Rose Lane regarding fraud.  According to the report, the complainant advised that an unknown suspect(s) scammed her out of a large amount of money.

*1:55p.m.-Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of Brentwood regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant’s 2012 Chevy Cruise was stolen from in front of her home.  The vehicle was located and electronically disabled by Onstar the report states.  The suspect had not been arrested at the time of the report.

*2:10 p.m.-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a civil matter.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his ex-wife had driven four hours to Brownwood and had taken their daughter, who had snuck out of school.  Their plan was discovered on Facebook, the report states.

*5:59 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of C. C. Woodson regarding theft.  According to the report, management of the convenience store named an employee as the suspect.

*6:29 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Cordell Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant arrived at the Benny Houston Center at approximately 5:20 p.m. and approximately 6:20 p.m., she was advised that someone had busted out the front passenger window of her vehicle.

*9:05 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the area of Avenue H and Vine Street regarding an intoxicated driver.  This call led to the arrest of 51-year-old Jose Alonso Castenada for driving while intoxicated.

*11:02 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Center Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant advised that she had parked her vehicle behind 709 Center Avenue, on Brown Street, and at approximately 5:30 p.m., she returned to find someone had broken out her front passenger side door window.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 56-year-old Dirk Edward Murdoch of Rising Star for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
