Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday & Wednesday, October 2 & 3, 2012.
Monday, October 1
*4:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce Street, Burke’s Outlet, regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that on September 21st, a female subject stole several unidentified items of clothing. On September 30th, the same female came into the store and attempted to walk out of the store with a basket full of merchandise, the report states.
*8:44pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 800 block of Beaver Street for failure to signal intent to turn. The driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Summer Wyatt, was found to be intoxicated, according to the report. Wyatt was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.
*11:19pm-Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding theft of property. According to the report, the complainant stated that either overnight or sometime the date of the report, someone had stolen her wallet out of her purse. The wallet could not be found and a suspect could not be determined, the report states.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Geyer Paige Smith for assault with injury family violence and disorderly conduct.
Tuesday, October 2
*10:36am-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Baker Street regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person stole her 1998 Ford Explorer which had been parked beside her residence.
*5:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Avenue C regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant reported several items missing from his residence and believed the suspect to be a family member who had been staying with him.
*6:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Avenue C regarding an animal bite. According to the report, the complainant said that a dog bit her son on the leg while he was riding his bicycle in front of their house. The officer observed minor scratches to the victim’s left calf and no puncture marks or blood, the report states.
*Early Police arrested 17-year-old Ashlyn Daniels for Public Intoxication.
*Bangs Police arrested 42-year-old Charles Edward Johnson of Brownwood for possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds in a drug free zone; evading arrest; and driving while disqualified.
Wednesday, October 3
12:07am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Coggin Avenue for a traffic violation. According to the report, the driver, 22-year-old Jacoby Martinez, was found to have an expired Texas Driver’s License with previous convictions and no insurance on the vehicle, police reports state. Martinez was arrested for driving while license invalid and no liability insurance.
