Kevin Dale Blanton, 45, of Santa Anna, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Mr. Sam Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Cleveland Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Kevin Dale Blanton was born March 31, 1971 to Paula Copeland Blanton and the late Tommy Blanton. He grew up in Santa Anna and graduated from Santa Anna High School. Kevin worked as a machinist at Loadcraft. He also loved being outdoors hunting, fishing or working on cars. He was a good, loyal friend and enjoyed being with others. He attended the Church of Christ.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Paula Blanton of Santa Anna; sister and brother-in-law, Elisha and Jason Potts of Pittsboro, Indiana; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Samantha Blanton of Leander; nieces, Sophia Blanton of Leander, Karlie Potts of Pittsboro, Indiana; nephew, Brandon Potts of Pittsboro, Indiana as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Blanton; grandparents, Glen and Udell Copeland and Sidney and Lucille Blanton.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home.
Memorial donations in memory of Kevin may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
