Brownwood Police Sgt. Troy Carroll said that the Arlington Police Department arrested a juvenile suspect in connection to the January 7th robbery of the Citibank branch in Brownwood.
The Brownwood Police Department issued a directive to apprehend for the suspect and he was subsequently taken into custody after 4pm on Thursday by the Arlington Police Department. The juvenile was transported from Arlington to Brownwood early Friday morning by Brownwood Police and is currently in custody at the Brown County Juvenile Detention Center.
“The Texas Rangers, FBI, Brownwood Police Department, and Arlington Police Department are still working on the investigation,” Carroll said.
On the afternoon of January 7th, a suspect walked into the Brownwood Citibank branch with a note that demanded money. According to reports and video, the teller complied with the note and the suspect took off with the cash on foot.
Authorities say that the suspect is not from Brownwood.
