The final opportunities this summer for Preschool registration for 2016-17 are from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, and Wednesday, July 20, at the BISD Administration Office. All children who will be 4 and under on or before September 1, 2016, are encouraged to apply for Head Start and/or Early Head Start.
Children who are 4 years old on or before September 1, 2016, but do not qualify for Head Start and were placed on a list for Pre-K must complete the registration process in order to be considered enrolled in Pre-K. These qualifying students are guaranteed a place in the Pre-K program. Parents of 4 year olds who have not applied for Head Start and/or Pre-K are encouraged to do so at this event, as space is limited in these programs.
Items needed for Pre-registration are the child’s birth certificate, Social Security card, updated shot record, proof of address, and proof of income, which could include the previous month’s pay stubs, 2015 tax return, or letters of eligibility for government assistance.
