John Robert Beasley age 48, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 after a brief illness. Graveside services for Mr. Beasley will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at Greenleaf cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 24, 2014, at Heartland Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm.
John Robert Beasley, Jr. was born on April 27, 1965 to John Robert Sr. and Fran Beasley in Gainesville, TX. John was a born musician who could play virtually any instrument and especially loved playing in the worship team at Victory Life Church. He was a life-long fan of the Dallas Cowboys and especially Jay Novecek with whom he shared the same football position (tight end) and jersey number (84).
John was a medical technician for Brownwood Region Medical Center for 14 years and was later employed with Schwan’s Food Service for 13 years at the time of his death.John was married to Maria Michelle Smithson on August 24, 1990, and to this union, their daughter, Jalissa Tiffiny was born.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Fran, and Aunts, Opal and Nancy and Uncle Joe Beasley.
John is survived by his wife of 23 years, Michelle, daughter, Jalissa, sister, Twila Holder, and niece, Sandra Beasley.
The family would like to thank Solaris Hospice, and Dr. Dickey and the medical staff of Comanche County Medical Center for the excellent care that John received during his illness.
