Jayne Ellen (Charles) Simmons, age 59, of Brownwood passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Temple.

Funeral Services for Jayne will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at New Beginnings Church with Pastor Ron Keener officiating; burial will follow at Windham Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Jayne is survived by her husband, Tommy Simmons of Brownwood; daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Grace Cox; son, Travis Ray Green; grandchildren, Sierra McCollum, Joseph Bacon, and Jaxson Gentry; brother, Larry “Bubu” Charles and wife Nancy of Brownwood; and sister, Rose “Sis” Brown and husband Zach of Forsyth, Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Joanna Charles; and grandparents.

Jayne was born on June 8, 1960, to Donald and Joanna Arcele (Hartley) Charles in Sidney, New York. She was kind and gentle to everyone and gave herself whenever she could help others. Jayne loved children and animals. She especially loved her family and friends, and her church and church family. Throughout any difficulty she never lost her faith in God and Jesus. Her family and friends will miss her greatly but are comforted by the knowledge she is now wrapped in her momma’s arms in Heaven.
