Brownwood News – The following calls were responded to by the Brownwood Police Department and released in their media report on Friday morning, December 27.
On Thursday, December 26, officers and firefighters were dispatched to the 600 block of 5th Street in reference to a fire. Two individuals stated they were burning mattresses at the rear of the home. The fire was extinguished by the fire department and they were cited for burning within the city limits.
On Thursday, December 26, at approximately 20:15 hours, Officer Donahoo was dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive in reference to an assault. A report was completed.
On December 26, Officer J. Mares was dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street in south Brownwood in reference to a Burglary. Dispatch stated the caller reported that someone had gone into his storage shed and had gone through some boxes. Officer Mares spoke to a man who stated someone had stolen a bicycle from his shed. The caller described the bicycle as a blue Huffy with 26 inch wheels. The caller stated the bicycle would have the word “Choas” spray painted on the top tube in black spray paint. A report was generated.
On Thursday, December 26, Officers responded to the 1300 block of Coggin Avenue in reference to missing items from a vehicle. After speaking to the caller, a report was generated.
