Press Release – The Arts Council of Brownwood is pleased to announce that the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will be performing on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center at Brownwood High School.

They will be conducted by Daniel Black, Assistant Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. As assistant conductor, he conducted over 60 concerts in 2014-15, and received critical acclaim for his performance of Handel’s Messiah.

 

The program will include:

  •  Overture to William Tell, by Rossini
  •  Concerto No. 2 in D major for Flute and Orchestra, by Mozart
  •  Symphony No. 8 in G major, by Dvořák

Tickets will cost $10 for adults and can be purchased online or at the door. Students will be admitted free with a school ID. Please visit www.brownwoodartscouncil.org to purchase tickets.

The orchestra will also perform for Brownwood ISD 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students on Friday morning.
