*2:01am – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call on San Benito.  No other information was available.

Monday, August 20

*1:27pm – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire call in the 2600 block of El Paso The incident was determined to be an outside rubbish fire.  Fire Marshal was on scene to enforce burn ban restrictions.

*5:09pm – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1700 block of Austin Ave involving 2 vehicles.  They reported a major accident with major injury and entrapment. One driver transported by was extricated from vehicle and transported AirEvac and second driver by Guardian. The first driver later passed away.

Tuesday, August 21

*6:28am – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 100 block of Market Place for a fire alarm activation.  Arrived on scene and discovered steam from shower activated alarm.

*9:49pm – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire call in the 1000 block of Coggin.  The incident was determined to be an electrical equipment problem.  Drink machine shorted out on ceiling tile. Fire Crews removed hazard and had store notify an electrician.

Wednesday, August 22

*7:24am – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on S US 377 / Crockett Dr. involving 2 vehicles.  They assisted loading patient into Guardian for transport.

*11:09am – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 2200 block of Dartmore for the smell of smoke.  Thermal camera was used to investigate but nothing was found.

Friday, August 24

*5:27pm – Brownwood Fire Department was called for a fire call in the 1500 block of 3rd Street for the smell of smoke in the area.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find an outside cooking fire.  Fire was not in an approved container. Fire was extinguished.
