Guiness Book world record-holder and Rising Star native Jackie Bibby appeared on the CMT Television network’s “ALL JACKED UP” program. The show featured Bibby as he “wrangled” Texas diamond-back rattlesnakes and crawled into a see-through bathtub with several Texas rattlers. As an added attraction for the TV audience, Bibby held twelve rattlesnakes suspended in his mouth, and kissed a deadly cobra on the head.
Saturday evening at Mary’s Cafe on Market Place Blvd in Brownwood, Bibby’s fans held a “screening” as the fans gathered to watch Bibby on the television program that was actually taped eight weeks ago near Dallas.
As a surprise to his friends and fans at the restaurant, Bibby and his son Michael brought along their twelve year old female Burmese Python, “Lady”.
KPSM “The Rock’s” Mikey Wayne attended the screening and after some taunting by the attendees, Wayne finally relented, allowing handler Jackie Bibby to drape him with the seventy-something pound snake. “Don’t worry”, Bibby told the crowd, “she was fed last week”.
