ExtrodinaryWomenConfOn Saturday, September 26 women across North America will crowd hundreds of auditoriums, church sanctuaries and halls to hear an inspirational line-up of speaking and musical talent LIVE via satellite on CCN.

In conjunction with Church Communication Network (CCN) and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), Coggin Ave. Baptist Church brings Extraordinary Women 2009: Free to be Real to the Central Texas area, on Saturday, September 26 at 8:30 a.m.

Featuring speakers Anita Renfroe, Karen Kingsbury, Stormie Omartian, Candace Cameron-Bure, Nancy DeMoss, and musicians Charles Billingsley and Amy Grant — EWomen 2009 offers women a day of encouragement, laughter, and music, not to mention personal and spiritual growth.

“EWomen is a chance for women to learn the truth about who God is, how He wants you to live, how He made you and how great His love is for you” says Julie Clinton, President of the 10,000 member Extraordinary Women’s Association and wife of Dr. Tim Clinton, President of the American Association of Christian Counselors in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Anita Renfroe, a featured speaker, has been described as “this generation’s Erma Bombeck.” “I’d rather people laugh because they relate to something I say than because I wrote a clever punchline,” Anita says. “All my stuff is about my life – it’s real and it connects people – and that’s a wonderful thing.” With her unique brand of estrogen flavored musical comedy and blend of sass, edge and slightly offbeat takes on “All Things Female”, audiences at her comedy concert tours and viewers of Good Morning America appearances say that Anita just tells it like it is.

Stormie Omartian is a bestselling author who personally connects with readers by sharing experiences and lessons that beautifully illustrate how God changes lives when we learn to trust in Him, seek His will, and follow His lead no matter what the circumstances. The strength and transparency of Omartian’s message have driven her books to the top of bestselling lists and earned many prestigious awards. Her books include: The Power of a Praying Wife, The Power of a Praying Parent, The Power of a Praying Woman, and The Power of Praying Together.

Most remember Candace Cameron Bure from ABC’s hit television series, Full House, where we affectionately knew her as “D.J. Tanner.” Her philanthropic spirit has given support to the Sheraton House, Compassion International, Children’s Hunger Fund, Make-A-Wish and the Starlight Foundation. She also continues to travel the country speaking at various churches, colleges and outreach events as well as being a contributing columnist for Christian Women Online Magazine.

Nancy DeMoss served as the Primary Children’s Ministries Director at Thomas Road Baptist Church, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Since 1980, Nancy has served on the staff of Life Action Ministries, a revival ministry based in Niles, Michigan. Until 2001, she served as the Director of Women’s Ministries and as the editor of Spirit of Revival magazine.

USA Today and New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury is America’s #1 inspirational novelist. There are more than 10 million copies of her award-winning books in print, including two million copies sold in the past year. Karen has written more than 30 novels, nine of which have hit #1 on national lists, including award-winning Ever After, Oceans Apart, and One Tuesday Morning. Karen has also written many best selling series including The Redemption Series and the Firstborn Series. Several of her recent novels, including Like Dandelion Dust, A Thousand Tomorrows and Gideon’s Gift are currently under production as full-length movies with major motion picture companies and will be appearing in theaters soon. Karen lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Don, and their six children, three of whom are adopted from Haiti.
