An afternoon two-vehicle accident on the corner of Garmon Drive (US Highway 183S) and E. River Oaks left one vehicle upside down in a bar ditch.
The accident occurred after 5pm on Thursday afternoon. Early Police officers on scene said that the driver of a Pontiac Vibe swerved to avoid a collision with a passenger car. Officers said that the Vibe struck the side of the other vehicle, ran off the road, and rolled over into the bar ditch. The cause of the accident was distracted driving according to police.
Guardian EMS examined the drivers and passengers of the vehicles. No injuries or transports were reported. Each vehicle had infant passengers who were both secured in child safety seats according to police.
