On Saturday, February 23, 2019 at approximately 3:04 PM, officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of 13th St. in reference to an agency assist. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the involved parties. A report has been made.
On 03/12/2019, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in regard to a burglary that occurred that resulted in a report being generated.
On March 14, 2019 Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to the corner of 4th and Brady Ave. in reference to a hit and run accident. An Officer spoke with the complainant and a report was generated for Accident Involving Damage to Vehicle less than $200, Class C Misdemeanor.
On Friday, March 15, 2019 at approximately 12:01 PM, officers made contact with a male subject in the 400 block of E Commerce St. in reference to a follow-up investigation. Officers spoke with the subject and he was later placed under arrest. A report has been made.
On March 15, 2019 at 7:37 PM, a Brownwood Officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Hunter’s Run in reference to damage to a vehicle. A report was taken for Criminal Mischief.
On March 15, 2019 at 8:54 PM, Brownwood Officers were dispatched to 171 Durham in reference to a domestic disturbance. Both parties were located and a report for Assault by Contact – Family Violence was generated.
On 3/16/2019 at 12:00 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 1600 Blk. of Ave. E in reference to a domestic disturbance. A suspect was arrested for reckless damage.
On Saturday March 16, 2019, Officers responded to 401 West Commerce (Walmart) in reference to possible drug/narcotics that had been found. The substance was collected and a report was generated for the destruction of the substance by Police property room.
On March 17, 2019 officers were made aware of a burglary of a vehicle via a walk in to the Law Enforcement Center at 1050 West Commerce. The reporting party stated the laptop was stolen out of a vehicle in the 2000 block of Brady Ave between the dates of March 6, 2019 to March 17, 2019. A report for burglary of a vehicle was made.
While on patrol on March 17, 2019, at approximately 4:20 PM, Corporal Acosta was dispatched to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd in reference to a wanted subject with warrants from Brown County. The subject was located and began to evade arrest in a motor vehicle. The subject eventually wrecked the vehicle into a residence and continued to evade on foot. The subject was eventually apprehended and taken into custody. The subject was observed while evading on foot throwing objects out of his pocket into a residential backyard. The items were located and found to be narcotics. The subject was arrested for his warrants and also charged with Evading Arrest in Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest on Foot, Tampering/ Fabricating Physical Evidence, Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1 gram in a Drug-Free Zone, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A report was made.
